Interesting fab work. What are your plans for beefing up the front suspension to handle all that additional offset weight?

Those strut brackets add a lot of weight in a hurry.

I honestly don't know what OEM was, might have been 18. A FSM schematic would have that info.

Re: Lifted Van Pics...

I added diamond plating all down the bottom half and painted over that with truck bed coating. No more dings from car doors. That's all real but the engine is shot and I'm debating what chassis it will sit on going forward. I was making some serious progress there for a while. I was ready to start t...

Re: ARB Winch Bumper Install - DasMule Expedition Outfitter

Nce work on your van! I like the 4 horns too. You have adde a lot of extras. The essential parts of a design: size, weight and power. Where did you re route the power steering coolant lines, that OEM had behind bumper? I added an aux cooler near radiator and got rid of the coiled pwr steerong coola...

Re: ARB Winch Bumper Install - DasMule Expedition Outfitter

You're mentioning spec's (2"x2" pipe) and photos etc...where is this stuff? I don't see anything on their website about this mount. You have CAD drawings of this thing? From SB's pix it looks like a box frame with two vertical plates in the middle someplace for the bumper to bolt to. I ass...

Re: ARB Winch Bumper Install - DasMule Expedition Outfitter

For $449 I'd expect a mount that wouldn't put my bumper into the grille and hood on light impact and still retain proper activation of the airbag sensor, kinda like something ARB would design. Brassboard? You will have it bolted to the front of your van, lol. So $30 in steel and $419 in design. Not ...

Re: ARB Winch Bumper Install - DasMule Expedition Outfitter

It looks like the ARB bumper from a Toyota FJ Cruiser. It's that obvious. I think I can answer your question about the ARB bumpers for the full sized Chevcy/GMC trucks. Yes they fit the dimensions pretty much perfectly, especially the ARB 3462040. BUT they are heavy. Shipping weight with pallet is ...

Lil bit of this, lil bit of that. Okay, you can't throw the above statement out there along with a new pic and not give some details and build pics of the latest mods.... And don't you still owe us more info on the mirrors install?... It's hard to see in the pic, but I have a new Nikola Tesla figur...

Re: ARB Winch Bumper Install - DasMule Expedition Outfitter

I use rubber bumpers made for tractor trailers and docks on the front. In my setup they don't do much other than to protect my fairlead and recovery points from puncturing too deep into someones trunk. But for someone else they would be ideal on a big bumper for minor impact absorption. http://i263....

I'm curious to know the bumpers "bumper" capability being that close to the body and that high above the frame.
