Re: CB Radio mounting location

Looks to me like you also had a Cobra 25. It was quite a bit of work to get it on there the way I wanted. Had to modify the CB too and move the mic output to the bottom. Spent quite a bit of time on total project, but worked well in the end. Sad part is that van only lasted a few months after that.

Re: Racecraft mounts

2WD mounts are the same, AWD mounts are different.

Re: Another 98 Astro solid axle swap

Major changes have been made in my life. My debt was finally paid off last month, a little earlier than expected. In the process of all that I ended up becoming single again for the first time in 10 years. Decided I really needed to make some changes and try to start over, so me and the kids moved t...

Re: Another 98 Astro solid axle swap

Scotts, I have no plans for the stock rear, but not sure how to get it to you. It's still under the van at the moment. A freind of mine just started building a new shop at his place, and for helping him get some stuff done he is allowing one corner of the new shop to be "mine", so my van w...

Re: Another 98 Astro solid axle swap

Well, beleive it or not, i do still have the van sitting in my back yard. Nobody seemed interested in buying anything, and I just couldn't scrap her so there she sits collecting dust. The front axle is in, nothing done to the rear, no motor, just a ton of parts sitting there. Hopefully someday I'll ...

Re: motor mounts

so in theory if someone sent you a set of these mysticle AWD mounts you could scan them and other people could get a hold of em...? am i getting the jist of this...? Yes that is correct. Last time Locdoc sent me his to scan. I made 5 sets at that time and I thought we saved the program, but we can'...

Re: motor mounts

Problem is, we lost the program in our laser for cutting these, that's the reason I'm not able to make them anymore. I don't have blueprints. I could rescan a set of the @wd mounts into the laser, but I sold the last set of AWD mounts that I had so I don't have anything to scan. I never had a set of...

motor mounts

I have recieved a few questions about motor mounts lately and just thought I'd let everyone know that I am no longer able to make them. I just sold my last set of AWD mounts, but I do still have 2 sets of 2WD mounts if anyone is interested.

Well, finally got the time to pull the subframe and take it to work. Got all the brackets welded in place, but wasn't able to get it blasted and painted like I had hoped to do, to much going on at work for that. So I'll end up shooting some spray paint on it for now so I can get this put together. I...

Haven't made much progress here. Between lack of time and snow flying when I do have a little time, I haven't had a cance to get anything done. I have fabbed up a few more parts at work, just waiting to get it all together. Next step will be to pull the subframe back out and take it into work with m...

Not sure about your neck of the woods, but around here I can buy new rotors for a whole $5-10 more than having them turned, so to me it seems to make more sense to go ahead and buy new. You also have to consider the condition of the ones you have, if they seem to be causing you that much of a proble...
