Re: sidedoor roller bracket

There are 3 brackets that are attached to the side door. Upper Bar, lower roller track bar, and rear side roller bar. if you are removing the lower roller bar, then just remove the door panel, and unbolt from the door. Also, there will be a release cable, that will be removed as well. If you are rem...

Re: lift the rear end with leftover flip kit parts?

Ya, I think I could use them. Write me back and lets discuss the brackets. Is it very similar to the lowering brackets in the pic?

Re: Removing Window Trim

Thanks for the help, guys. Lots of great info here. U shaped sounds about right. The torch and heat the sealant sounds like a great trick. It comes down to less hassle, by just leaving the window in, and I guess I am going to have to tape around the outside seal, and hope for the best. Thanks again,...

Re: Removing Window Trim

remove the window and trim......the tricks are in getting it back in. See if someone at a local bodyshop will give you some insight. Oh thanks 8-[ . Now all I have to do is remove the window and trim. What about just the trim? Would you have a "How To"? Don't really want to ask someone at...

Removing Window Trim

Hello, I am in the process of painting my 93 AWD. I was wondering if anyone would have a few tips for removing the rear side window rubber trim, (the outside Trim around the Glass) see pic below. I know I could tape around the trim, but I rather spend the time and remove the trim for a cleaner finis...

Re: What's this color?

Thanks Kabey,

That looks very similar, at least I can check the paint store for their sample colors, see if that matches the van above.

Cheers

Re: What's this color?

Thanks Crash, Kabey, Ya I noticed the headlights too. I wonder if they just got lazy putting back together? So you don't think this is a Stock Astro color? Ok. You are right too, there could be hundreds of GM Blue, and the computer doesn't do it much justice either. Thanks for the help, hope Crash c...

What's this color?

Been deciding for a few months now on a color for my lifted 93 Astro, finally decided that I would go with this color below. http://home.comcast.net/~lastcat/forumpics/1.JPG Anyone have the color code for this van above? Sure is a sweet ride. Not sure of the year, 95-02? One day, if I ever have the ...

Re: Composite to Metal Rear Leaf Springs

Thanks Lokdoc, I'll consider the add a leaf first. I really only need 2" in the rear, since the tires already lifted 2" from stock. Then if its not quite enough, I could always go with the rear shackles. I am considering just 2" with the rear suspension, because I can then get the van...

Re: Composite to Metal Rear Leaf Springs

Thanks Snapple, I was able to get all of the mounting hardware, when I pulled these metal springs (3 leaves) off of the 96 Safari. I was able to get the anchor plate from the original hardware from above. It took some minor bending, about a 1/4" to get the anchor plate to fit. Then I had to use...

Re: Composite to Metal Rear Leaf Springs

Thanks Jboy, Lots of work, and I got a good deal, yes?   I thought about these upper anchor mounts, and might try the anchors from the steel leaf springs, and see if I can just make them work. I did get one to mount, but it needs some more massaging to make them work. Ya, I ...
