Re: Newby--Options?

The answer to your question about the 03's to 05's and the six-stuf wheels. The rear brakes were swapped out for discs at the same time. So it makes sense for you to go with an 03' model year at the least. - Anything you buy 97' or later will have the 200hp motor as well as the later OBDII computer,...

Re: RamJet 350 Swap

Very nice! Glad to read that you still have the van and run it. It'd been a coupla yrs since you last posted on this swap. Tip; I had the exact same set-up on my Ramjet 502 and used a Flex-A-Lite twin fan set-up as well. Rather than stick the probe between the fins, I simply removed a plug from one ...

Nuts, absolutely nuts. You're an artist is what you are. The door is absolutely incredible, as is the railing.... My garage is nothing compared to your personal rendition of the industrial revolution, though I've completed a few fun projects in there. I recently finished up an elevator which goes in...

Re: Reliable place to buy new engine for my 1995 GMC safari?

I personally prefer GM Goodwrench. Last time I bought a replacement engine from them, they included a 3yr 80k km warranty AND GM pays to remove/replasce the engine should it crap out. Yes, more expensive, but the added piece of mind makes it worth it in my book.

Re: For those that have been or are or will be

Being the uber closet-liberal that I am, I loved it. It was an extreme over-simplification of marriage & rug-rat upbringing, but touching nevertheless. I surmise that most of the nay-sayers haven't had kids (yet). Although I generally avoid little tykes, there's something to be said for a two yr...

I can just imagine how you measure other stuff, Blazer....

Ok guys, thx to all for the warm welcome. Can we now let this self-centered thread die and get back to business? :smurf:

ROFLaughing....

I too only learned the true term of these nuts, which they insist on calling bolts. I used 'em on the door to my home office-turned-gunroom, which I just completed. They do work very well, I just wonder why they called 'em sex-nuts?

Re: Welcome back Peter

I have absolutely no idea. Whatever it is, it'll need to be smog-legal. I've been kicking around the following ideas; #1 Hybrid electric, redneck style #2 Diesel, though I hate the damned things and diesel fuel isn't cheap enuf to warrant it #3 Small-block conversion, but unfortunately it'd have to ...

Again, thanks to all for the "welcome back". Nope, ZZ's been stripped of her parts, according to the guy who bought her. She's prolly driving around as a Kia now #-o Hey Logan, sorry to hear about your dad being in long-term care. I remember meeting him in '05 and he sure didn't seem like ...

Re: s10 unlocking axle

Maybe the set-up is different on your 90', but the complete diff/axle assembly on my front assembly is held in place by a flange which is welded to the axle tube on one side. But on the other side, there's a dogleg bracket which attaches the assembly to the frame. That's the one I'm talking about. T...

Awesome swap, Coyote! Matt & his wife sure could use some tips from you! :smurf: Is the interior noise really low enuf that it isn't an issue? As far as the rear goes, my stocker put up with lots of abuse from over 560 lbs-ft of torque before finally screaming "ENUF ALREADY!" Unless yo...
