I take out my benches quite often, so yes I'm looking for a removable solution.
I suppose one possibility would be to cut off the quick-release mechanism off some junk seats and build a removable bed/storage box onto them.

reverse folding bench seat
Has anyone tried modifying the rear bench seats so that they fold open instead of shut? It would be a really convenient solution to have something to crash on.

Re: Rear Heater Inop
My solenoid went bad too so I just hooked the vacuum up directly to the water shutoff valve. At least I get heat in the back now, but it takes the system longer to heat up if I just want it in the front. Anyways, where did you see the solenoid sfeaver? When I went to the dealer, they didn't sell the...

Re: AWD Activation
I do have a G80 rear, but I was wondering about the front because the unit looks so small. I'm guessing that's because it's just not designed to get much use.

Does the stock front axle have an open differential or is always locked like a spool?

I guess not if I was a professional, with a professional budget.
For me, it's absurd.

Re: Choosing an OBD scan tool.
As anyone can imagine, nothing beats the OEM professional scan tool. I have tried various scan tools in my years of experience in the trade & I can say that I am fairly impressed with http://www.autoenginuity.com/ . Sure, I have found glitches & errors in comparison with the OEM scan tool o...

Do the electronic transfer cases engage when 1 rear wheel slips, or both?
I think I read somewhere the speed sensor is on the rear propeller shaft, so I'm guessing that means it only takes 1 wheel.

Re: Choosing an OBD scan tool.
You could have gotten the ELM 327 which will handles GM and ISO.
I'm not interested in 0-60 either, but more so the realtime sensor readout. So what would you spend your $200 on now?

Re: No power on start
A similar thing happened to me recently, under different circumstances... I was driving along the #1 through the rockies, and after a long uphill I coasted to a stop because of construction. I turned off the ignition. Once traffic started moving again, I once again began experiencing power loss. On ...
