Re: astro owners - can i stack 4x8 sheet to the ceiling in o

Solid stacked plywood like that would crush the van. You would be massively over the suspension and braking abilities of the van. I don't know if even a 3/4 ton pickup would handle that in the box. Your basicly talking about a whole lift of wood.

Re: This is messed up-shot teen

The first paragraph in my post is the law on Canada as to how your gun must be stored here. Like I say it's a totally different way of life And a way of thinking. I'm sorry and I know it gets people all upset but if I lived somewhere that I felt the only way to be safe was Carry a gun at all times a...

Re: This is messed up-shot teen

If your gun is properly stored using it for "defense" or shooting the neighbor instead of turning on a light first isn't a option. The gun would be in a locked cabinet with a trigger lock on it unloaded with the bullets stored seperatly. So running to your gun as a first line of defense is...

Clean the maf sensor if it isn't reason the proper air into the engine it will be compensating all the time and could cause the stumble. Use some cleaner and a soft toothbrush.

Re: Rear Door handle mechanism broken inside...doors won't o

If you do a search I did a big write up on how to open the barn doors a few years ago I know it's pinned at the top of the section. If you pop the speaker out you should be able to reach the door rods and open the door.

Re: I there any way to isolate entry lights?

Use the dome light override button up by the head light switch to turn the lights off. There is a power port on the drivers side rear you could just plug a small light in there if you only need light for cooking at the back door.

Re: Replacing side sliding door, how do I switch popout glas

If you look in the how to or pinned topics there should be a post I did on swapping the rear windows. The same basic steps should apply. It should be easy to put new rivets in the new door as you have factory holes in place you will not have to drill mount holes.

Re: Do I need the transmission cooler

If you can only tow 3500lbs then you don't have the tow package. I would put a trans cooler on. Think of it this way a trans cooler is about $50-100 for a good one, a cheap trans rebuild on the side of the highway on your vacation will probably set you back $1500-2000. To me it seems like cheap insu...

Re: I have a water retention problem.

I feel your pain. I was on vacation camping down on the Oregon coast 2 weeks ago and the van snapped the shaft in the power steering pump. So needless to say it was more than could be fixed in a campground in the dark so I ended up with a nice bill to end my holidays.

Re: I'm getting a clicking noise from the rear on van

Make sure the jack is secure in the cubby hole. Also try and remove the rear seats to make sure the noise isn't from the sliders on the bench. Check the spare tyre as well. Once all that is eliminated as a source then you are probably left with leafspring bushings.

Re: how many grease fittings are there.

I am not sure of a exact number as it would depend on how many stock parts were swapped out over the years for better aftermarket ones. the easy way is to look for one everywhere something pivots. For example on the idler arms and all the ball joints on the tie rod depending if they are aftermarket....

Both systems run off the power steering fluid. If it was low that could be the problem just Check for leaks after you fill it up the fluid went somewhere.

Re: How Does The Rear A/C Work??.

The engine must be on as it pumps the refrigerant all the way to the back there is a seperate drain on the rear drivers side corner.
