Re: Vehicle is dying, fuel pump?

Since you also have a bad habit of running the tank low you should change the fuel filter. If your filter is clogged the van will give you only part throttle as that is all the fuel it can get. Remember fill your tank at about 1/4 to avoid heating up your fuel pump and shortening its life span. Was...

Re: Vehicle is dying, fuel pump?

So basically if per say it was only the fuel pump I am quite lucky to have driven on it for another 1 1/2 weeks, die and be able to start up again. She still starts this morning but having work / school traffic in the morning I did not want to risk being run over while trying to bang start her. Excu...

Vehicle is dying, fuel pump?

Hi Folks! So some of you have read my post in the "What did you do to/with your van today?" about how I had an "empty" gas tank and couldnt start up. Well tonight I was 40kms away from home when she decided not to start again. So I banged on the fuel tank and the fuel pump energi...

Re: Sparks, Wires, Distribution Cap

I hear yah Sanja. Okay I am gonna do NGK Platinum plugs, MSD wires and the AC Delco caps/rotor. Only the MSD wires will be new to me on this vehicle but when I ran them on the Firebird I loved them!

PS how is this text colour? LOL

I have been wanting to run the MSD leads ... what are the cons? :)
I may just go back to NGK for sparks. The AC Delco is not the best performer but I used all AC Delco when I had the weird "knocking" sound.

Uniroyal Tiger Paws, 215/70-16 Check the pressures, pump them up. TLow has a lift, bigger MT tires but 4.11s. I run a bit better then him and in the city however I have smaller 29" and 3.73s. Herbie when was the last time fluids were changed in your ride? The Diffs and transfer case? Dont forg...

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?

Whumping noise?...........Care to explain? :muhaha: Brake catching causes the tire to jump. Similar to a tire being severely out of balance. Thanks,I know what it is,Just like to tease Skidhauler allot :partyman:[/quote] *Cough ... CrashHauler ... you forgot? He just avoided this whumpping one. (PS...

Re: Crappy Mileage, got Scan Gauge, now what?

OP: What type of tires do you have? I have run over 6+ different tires and they all give me different MPG (I use to run seasonal tires, meaning Autumn/Summer, Spring and Winter I ran different tires). As you mentioned, tire inflation is very important. With the Scangauge, set three gauges to monito...
