i checked for cat's and kid's didn't find em
bearing in the compressor itself i guess that would mean i'd have to replace the entire compressor ka

The bearing is part of the clutch. You don't have to replace the whole compressor. You don't even have to recharge. To check, remove the belt and spin the pully. \:D/

Normally one of the idler pulleys makes the noise, and they dont seem to last either. And every Astro I've owned has made that same noise. At least the idler is cheap, or you can press out the bearing and just change that. With the belt off you can give them all a spin and see the culpret.

well that's funny because my tensioner pulley was also making noise already replaced it also did idler to i won't have to do it later (after i took idler off i noticed it didn't seem to turn as easily as it should probably on it's way out)
i assume i can't just change the bearings in the clutch i'll have to replace the entire thing, i looked around at work and we don't seem to sell the the clutch alone...... holy crap i just saw a listing for the bearing alone, i wonder how difficult it would be to replace
