A/C Manifold test gauge set, etc

Post by rlsllc »

The A/C in my 99 sprang a leak, and I'm going to get a set of gauges, and would like recommendations. I figure that the more they cost the better, but keep in mind that they may only be used a couple times a year.

I don't want to buy junk, but don't want to spend a fortune. I have a friend with a good vacuum pump, if I have to go that far, but would still like to have my own gauges just for being handy.

This set would probably fit your needs. You can buy R12 adapters if you need them for older vehicles.

He's talking about a vacuum pump for evacuation of the A/C system after doing repairs.

Well, back to your vacuum pump(if that's what your looking for), i suggest the A1 Cardone Vacuum Pump. It's easy to install because it's a direct fit OE component. :)
agree... A1 Cardone Vacuum Pump is a good choice. I read about this brand and said to be a world-class pump with 100 percent recharged motor magnets.
