Looking at selling a car / van and purchasing a 1999 astro awd. The current owner has really taken care of the vehicle which is really attracting me to the van, that and the low miles... However she told me that it will start when it wants to and if it does start sometimes it stalls.
So I guess what I am ki d of hoping for is some general troubleshooting checks to look for when going to look at it this week / weekend and see if I can get her super cheap.
My guess is to check the following.......
Fuel pressure, grounds, plugs possibly if she'll not freak out about me taking the car apart somewhat.
Looking for more of a guide as to what I should "look over" to see if it is a really good deal or not. Again I am super pumped cuz not only is it super clean and been taken care off. But there appears to be no rust. And here in Michigan that is super rare for 3-5 year old vehicles much less a 99.

Yeah,f/p's are common issue with these vans and it would act like that.

A common cause of an intermittent no start is a coil wire that is shorting to ground. This is usually worse in damp weather...
