figured it out

Post by HPbyStan »

Finely found out why I got the '03 LT AWD for $500. It's deeply flawed. Today I turned on the rear heat and it blew cold air. Think I should try to get my money back ? Wish I had thought to check that back when it was warm as I have the whole rear stuff from the Astro-mino to repair it with but not in this weather in my driveway. Yeah, yeah, I know I'm getting soft in my old age.

I don't understand why you guys are offering so much since he just admitted the rear heat is broke! $300, tops!

Actually, i'm tempted locally by an 88 with a 350 and a ford 9" for 2000.

I had a '88 Cargo I bought new and around '96, if I remember right, I put a L31 350 Crate motor in it.
Stock rear end with a 2.73 rear gear. I didn't even know GM had one that high but with the V8 it worked out well. Those short body Astros really lay rubber. No overhang = no weight transfer.

Just flush the rear heater; then, sit back and enjoy the tropical weather.
